ARTISTS
Diane Yodice
Hey I’m Diane Yodice and I am the the owner of Moonlight Tattoo.
So what can I say about me? Well I’ve been tattooing for 40 years, I’m a second generation tattoo artist who started her career tattooing on the carnival circuits when I was a kid. I started in this industry when there was only a handful of women tattooing. Now women make up at least a third of the artists in America. We opened our studio in Cape May County 31 years ago and spent the first 13 years as the first tattoo studio on North Wildwood Boardwalk. We have now been Moonlight Tattoo for 18 years.
I’m old school, I believe tattooing is a responsibility. I believe tattoo artists in Street shops should be proficient in all forms of tattooing. Tattooing is ever-evolving, the art grows and changes every year and you need to change along with it. But most importantly, You need to help guide clients into the best artwork and choices because they are going to have to live with their choices.
Mike Hessinger
Hi, I’m Mike Hessinger. I’ve been an artist my whole life and don’t have any plans on changing now. I got my start drawing comic books and ninja turtles in grade school and have developed a love for all forms of art. I attended Rowan University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine arts, concentrating on illustration/graphic design. After college I worked as freelance graphic designer but realized that it wasn’t the perfect fit for me in the art world. After some Bouncing around trying different artistic endeavors I was lucky enough to find my true passion, tattooing.
I was trained in house by Stevie and Diane and have been at Moonlight Tattoo my whole career. When it comes to tattoos, I enjoy the challenge of working a variety of styles. If I HAD to choose a favorite genre, I would probably say American Traditional or Fantasy/Horror Black and Grey. My experience as a graphic designer has also given me a deep appreciation for text.
